The Wesleyan Wolves welcomed conference foe LaGrange this evening in a mid-week match at Panoz Field. The match was full of incredible defense on both sides of the ball as the Wolves went into halftime leading 1-0 thanks to a goal by Senior Q Brandon. The Panthers of LaGrange quickly tied the game 1-1 in the fifty-first (51st) minute of the game. The game would remain tied most of the second half. Both the Panthers and Wolves had nine shots on goal during the second half and ended the game very evenly matched on total shots on goal. Senior Carlee Dykes had ten saves on the evening adding to her incredible save total for the year.
As the game came to a close, in the eighty-ninth (89th) minute, Senior Q Brandon came all the way down field from the back line, to receive the ball from mid-field. This would set up a beautiful pass to Christina Wiswell who put the ball in goal to close the game with a win at 2-1. The win would be the first conference win for the Wolves this season as they improve their overall record to 3-9-1.
The Wolves will be back in action this Sunday as they travel to Brevard College to face the Tornados.
