Macon, GA - Breyonna Raymond scored a season-best 27 points for Wesleyan, but it was not enough to overcome a second quarter offensive outburst that lifted LaGrange to an 84-73 win Saturday afternoon.

Notables:

  • LaGrange scored 33 points in the second quarter to take control.
  • The Wolves posted an impressive 29-point fourth quarter to claw back into the game.
  • Raymond's 27 points were the most by a Weslean player this year.
  • Justice Thigpen finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists while playing all 40 minutes.

Quotable:

"We played a solid 30 minutes of basketball today against a deep, athletic LaGrange team," stated Wesleyan head coach Nicky DiMarzio. "Offensively, we played well, executed, and hit open shots. Defensively, we had some second quarter lapses that led to easy buckets in transition. I'm proud of how we fought back in the second half to cut the lead in half and keep LaGrange uncomfortable. Bree had a tremendous game, and we once again got great production from Lexie and the Thigpen sisters."
