Students Reign Supreme in DIII Week Kickball Grudge Match

Monday, April 4, 2016

Macon, GA - In the First Annual Division III Faculty/Staff vs. Student Kickball Grudge Match, the students pulled out a close 5-4 win over their off the field mentors. The three inning nailbiter was a back and forth affair, but ultimately the students shut the door and finally proved that age does matter!

Sophomore softball twin Valerie Clower served as all time pitcher, but we promise she threw a fair game and in no way favored her student sisters.

"It was an awesome time," remarked junior basketball player Taylor Hauser. "I really hope it opens more opportunities for the faculty, students, and athletes to interact with each other."

"The kickball game was so much fun," Wesleyan head volleyball coach Caroline Carlton stated. "I am very appreciative of everyone who came out to play. The students may have won this time, but we are coming for them next year. This was the perfect opportunity to bring different parts of campus together to celebrate our amazing athletes."
