Demorest, GA - Missing two starters from their rotation, the Wesleyan College volleyball team fell 3-0 to USA South foe Piedmont College on Wednesday night.

Notables:

  • Freshman Nadia Hernandez led the Wolves offense on Wednesday night, earning four of the team's six kills in the match.
  • Freshman Hannah Straut assisted on five of the six kills and also led the team with five digs defensively.
  • Thursday night marks the final last game of the season where the Wolves will honor seniors Malae Fiaseu and Alyssa Whitford in their final volleyball competition in Porter Gym.

Quotable:

Wesleyan head coach Caroline Carlton stated, "Considering that we only travelled seven players tonight, we did the best we could do. Two of our consistent starters were unable to be here and we battled through their absence. All seven players saw time on the court tonight, and Jade Murphy had her best performance of the season. Nadia Hernandez also had a great night, bringing her A game offensively."

"The end of the season can be a tough time, but everyone on this team is still working hard. We are ready to have our team back together for tomorrow night's final home match honoring our seniors."
