Decatur, GA - Wesleyan's bats came alive as the Wolves picked up two big win on Wednesday evening over USA South rival Agnes Scott College. Wesleyan won 6-2 and 4-2 as Valerie Clower and Claire Crawford each earned wins for the Wolves.

Notables:

  • The Wolves compiled a season high 23 hits in two games against the Scotties. 
  • In a 6-2 win, Victoria Clower led the Wolves offensive outburst with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate with 4 RBIs and one run scored. Tiffani Linville, Claire Crawford, Alana Walker and MJ Jackson each contributed two hits as well, while Valerie Clower earned her third win of the season from the circle.
  • In a 4-2 win in Game 2, Claire Crawford picked up her first win of the season at pitcher. She also helped herself out with the bat, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Miriam Grant was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with 3 RBI, improving her season batting average to .341 to lead the Wolves.

"It sure was nice to get a couple of wins tonight and hopefully we can carry this momentum over into the weekend," said Wesleyan head softball coach Dickey Hightower. "Both Valerie Clower and Claire Crawford did a great job pitching for us today and our offense came alive. We had a lot of hits and a lot of our players contributed to our production today."
