Macon, GA - Valerie Clower and Nicole Wilson each tossed complete game shutouts as Wesleyan College evened its record at 2-2 after sweeping Sewanee 8-0 and 9-0. 

Notables:

  • Clower and Wilson each allowed only five hits in tehir shutouts.
  • Wolves post consecutive shutout for the first time since March 20 of last season.
  • Victoria Clower went 2-for-3 with three RBI while Miriam Grant finished 2-for-2 with two RBI in game one.
  • McKenzi Shelpman drove in three runs in game two. 
  • Savanna Boyette had two hits in both ends of the doubleheader including a pair of doubles in game two.

"We got two well pitched games by Valerie and Nicole.We played well defensively and also hit the ball fairly well. The entire team contributed to today's success," said Wesleyan head softball coach Dickey Hightower. "However, we don't have a lot of time to celebrate since we travel to Emory tomorrow."
