Jessica Meagher Denniston

Jessica Meagher enters her third season as the head coach of the Wesleyan College equestrian program this season. She joined the staff in the fall of 2012 as the team's assistant coach and assistant barn manager and seamlessly stepped into the head coaching position over the past two seasons.

Meagher is an alumna of Virginia Intermont College where she graduated with a B.A in Equine Studies and minored in Equine Assisted Growth and Learning. While attending Virginia Intermont, she was a member of the IHSA team and earned her Level 2 certification in hunt seat equitation and recreational riding through the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA). After graduation, she continued to pursue her passion of teaching as well as training in the Washington, DC area in both hunter/jumper and dressage barns while serving as an assistant trainer and head instructor.

Meagher is very passionate about continuing her education. She has had the opportunity to clinic with Bruno Greber several times as well as audit many top clinicians such as George Morris, Charles deKnuffy, and Debbie McDonald.
