The Wesleyan College softball team earned their first win of the season when it counted most - in an elimination game against Trinity Washington at the Great South Athletic Conference Championship, defeating the Tigers by a score of 18-3.

SALEM, N.C. - Wesleyan College fell in its final Great South Athletic Conference series of the season, dropping both ends of a doubleheader at Salem College.

Wrapping up their regular season play with matches against Spelman College and Covenant College, the Wesleyan College tennis team now turns its focus towards preparation for the Great South Athletic Conference tournament to be held at the end of April.

In their final home games of the season, a short-handed Wesleyan softball team dropped two games to Tennessee Temple University by scores of 13-0 and 12-1.

The Wesleyan College tennis team picked up its second win of the season and first Great South Athletic Conference win by defeating Salem College in exciting fashion with a come from behind 5-4 victory.

Playing in the pouring rain and less than ideal conditions, the Wesleyan College softball team improved their performance at the plate despite losing two games to Great South Athletic Conference foe Salem College.

The Wesleyan College softball team lost two games to Covenant College on Saturday afternoon by scores of 14-1 and 15-0.
